SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes supply of sounding signal and estimation of results of sounding ; used as sounding signal is optical pulse signal sent over at least one measuring channel isolated from surrounding medium; for forming such signal, envelope of product line is fastened with fibrous light guide; it is good practice to make is continuously over entire length of section under test; break is demonstrated by change in parameters of reflected optical signal at measuring channel input.
