FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises charging solid aluminum, pouring preheated liquid magnesium, adding titanium-containing fusion cake at constant stirring, ageing melt, charging manganese/flux mixture, ageing at stirring, charging zinc, settling and decanting resulting alloy. According to invention, prior to be settled, alloy is additionally treated with inert gas, which is injected under layer of dispersed melt, specific consumption of inert gas is maintained within a range of 0.1 to 0.5 cm3/kg.s, and treatment with inert gas is conducted during 0.2-0.5 h. Velocity of emergence of inert gas bulbs in the melt layer is maintained in accordance with relationship: V ≤ 9.5 (gν)1/3, wherein V is velocity of emergence of bulbs; m/s, g acceleration of gravity, m/s2; ν cinematic viscosity of melt, m2/s. As a result, level of nonmetallic inclusions is lowered to 0.01% with respect to oxygen and to 14 cm3/100 g with respect to hydrogen.
EFFECT: increased purity of alloy.
