FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy, particularly, methods of production of high-purity magnesium alloys by casting method. SUBSTANCE: method includes loading of solid aluminum; pouring of liquid magnesium after heating of metal; introduction of titanium- containing fusion cake with continuous stirring; loading of manganese and zinc with subsequent holding and discharge of produced alloy. In so doing, melt after introduction of titanium-containing fusion cake is allowed to stand, loaded with mixture of manganese with flux at rate of 0.005-0.1 cu.m/s, conditioned and loaded with zinc. IN addition, manganese is loaded in amount of 0.15-0.45% of melt weight, and melt is conditioned for 0.1-0.5 h. In so doing losses of manganese and zinc are reduced as high as possible in course of production of high-purity magnesium alloys. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 1 tbl, 2 ex
