FIELD: development of electron guns for TV kinescopes, compact X-ray tube, electron accelerators.
SUBSTANCE: flat suspended controlling conducting grid in electron gun has flat autoelectronic emission cathode and comes in the form of conducting layer and dielectric layer. When grid operates in pulling condition dielectric layer is located on side of autoelectronic emission cathode and covers 80 to 100% of conducting layer. In this case uncovered areas of conducting layer are located around holes and when grid operates under blocking condition dielectric layer is located on side opposite autoelectronic emission cathode, conducting layer in this case is completely covered with dielectric layer. Second dielectric layer is put on conducting layer on side opposite to location of first dielectric layer. Grid in this case can operate both under pulling and blocking conditions. Flat optoelectronic emission cathode can be made in the form of flat carbon cathode which emitter has shape of nonstructural film. Holes can be round or polyhedron. Utilization of proposed electron gun in TV kinescopes, compact X-ray tubes, electron accelerators makes it feasible to reduce energy consumption, prolong service life and reduce labor input to its manufacture.
EFFECT: reduced energy consumption, prolonged service life of electron gun.
