SUBSTANCE: invention proposes the strain E. coli KM 148 as a producer of protective antigens of choleraic toxic B-subunit and colonization factor CFAI that promote to the formation of antitoxic and anti-colonizing immunity. Strain is generated on the basis of avirulent strain E. coli M 17. Recombinant plasmids pIEM3 (Km^rTc^r) with the cloned gene of choleraic toxin (ctxB) and plasmid pCFAI(Tp^r) with genes responsive for intestine colonization (cfa1) are inserted into cells of the strain by conjugative method. The proposed strain is deposited in the State collection of pathogenic microorganisms RosNIPCHI "Mikrob". The strain elicits high level in producing choleraic toxin B-subunit and the presence of adhesine CFAI. The strain can be used for immunoprophylaxis of coli-bacteriosis and cholera and for the development of new diagnostic test-systems providing detection of protective antigens in other strains and in choleraic prophylactic preparations.
