FIELD: composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparation methods regarding polycrystalline oxide-based ceramic materials for use in metallurgy, chemistry, mechanical engineering, power engineering, etc. Method comprises mixing titanium powder with alumina followed by heat treatment carried out first at 950-1100оС for 2-3 h and then at 1150-1200 for 1-2 h until formation of TiAl2O5 is completed. Method enabled preparation of complex composite system having homogenous structure of the spinel type.
EFFECT: increased breaking point and heat resistance.
