FIELD: purification of liquids and gases.
SUBSTANCE: method includes grinding coal raw, its mixing with a binder, formation of granules, their drying up to 80-100oC with a heating rate of 2-6oC/min, carbonization produced by counterflowing of the granules and furnace gases at 350-540oC, cooling of the carbonized granules in absence of air to a temperature of 40-70oC, their thermal treatment up to a temperature of 800-870oC and further activation by water vapor at a temperature of 900-950oC.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
