FIELD: nondestructive testing; monitoring of quality of weld seams of nuclear reactor components.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes loading/unloading unit, clamping and rotating unit, scanning unit with carriage on which piezo-converter is secured, immersion bath, ultrasonic pulse generator, ultrasonic pulse receiver, microprocessor. Proposed device is additionally provided with piezo-converter mounted on carriage of scanning unit, commutator, analog-and-digital converter and on-line storage. First and second inputs of commutator are connected with piezo-converter and third input is connected with ultrasonic pulse generator; output of commutator is connected with ultrasonic pulse receiver; input of analog-and-digital converter is connected with ultrasonic pulse receiver and output is connected with microprocessor; input and output of on-line storage are connected with microprocessor.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements.
