FIELD: electrical engineering; lead-acid storage battery manufacture.
SUBSTANCE: proposed storage battery has case closed with cover on top and divided into compartments accommodating battery cells connected in series by means of interplate junctions; each cell has set of unlike-polarity plates with separators and electrolyte in-between; plates have current leads and active material; leads of positive plates are made of alloy having following composition, mass percent: Sn, 0.7 - 1.5; Ca, 0.04 - 0.06; Ag, 0.001 - 0.015; Al, 0.015 - 0.05; lead, the rest. Active material of positive and negative plates is covered with fixing layers of acid-resistant porous material. Active material of plates is reliably bonded with current leads and protected against cracking and crumbling.
EFFECT: enlarged service life of storage battery.
