FIELD: electrical engineering, namely manufacture of lead-acid storage cells.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of crystallizing melt lead by means of casting drum on profiled shaping belt in the form of lattice band; cooling formed band till temperature 65 - 80°C and squeezing it directly on profiled shaping belt. Volume of shaping cavities of profiled shaping belt normal relative to its axis is lowered by 3 - 4%. Three-dimensional compression provides increased strength of alloy structure of lattice seams and their smooth surface.
EFFECT: improved quality of current leads.
