FIELD: electrical engineering, namely manufacture of lead-acid storage cells.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of crystallizing melt lead on drum in the form of continuous grid belt; after cooling belt till temperature 60 - 75°C reducing belt on calibrating rolls for transforming cross section of seams and frames of belt to hexagonal one.

EFFECT: possibility for providing small grain structure of metal, improved strength of leads.
