FIELD: electrical engineering; manufacture of lead-acid cells and storage batteries.
SUBSTANCE: novelty is that quality control of sets of battery cell plates involves more than one sequential cycles; during first cycle conductance of set of electrode cells is measured and recorded at 5 to 30 V for 0.005 to 0.3 s; second cycle includes measurement and recording of its conductance at 300 to 600 V for 0.05 to 0.3 s; third cycle takes 0.005 to 0.1 s for measuring and recording its conductance at 1000 to 1700 V, and fourth cycle, 0.002 to 0.005 s at 2000 to 4000 V. In addition electromotive force across pole leads of dry-charged cells is measured in advance for 0.005 to 0.3 s to determine moisture content of their plates.
EFFECT: enhanced precision of detecting kind of fault as early as at test stage.
