FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and production of storage batteries. Proposed storage battery has accumulator jar with compartments accommodating the units of alternating positive and negative electrode plates submerged in electrolyte and separated by separators. The latter have their ears attached to terminal bridges, while electrode plate units are connected in series. Each jar compartment accommodates one locking plate made from dielectric flexible material resistant to electrolyte. Aforesaid material modulus of flexure differs by 0.3 to 1.8 times from that of accumulator jar. The locking plate thickness differs by 0.3 to 1.5 times from that of jar walls. Spatial profile of aforesaid locking plates consists of two to sixe plates arranged 110° to 170° to each other. Minimum-to-maximum plane width ratio makes 0.2 to 0.8 of area of the accumulator jar inner wall area. Locking plates feature orifices with total area making 0.05 to 0.15 of locking plate's area Width of spatial profile of locking plates is in 1.5-3.5 times more than width of split between electrode plate assies and jar inner walls. Back-to-back locking plates are pressed in the gap between electrode plate assies and jar inner walls.
EFFECT: higher reliability, longer life.
