FIELD: electrochemical method of determination of oxidant/anti-oxidant activity of agents.

SUBSTANCE: oxidant-anti-oxidant activity is estimated by change of oxidant-anti-oxidant potential before and after introduction of agent under test into special solution containing mediator pair. Concentration of oxidant-anti-oxidant is calculated by empirical formula. Pairs of chemical elements of different valence may be used as mediator system.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy, reliability and reproducibility of results; reduction time required for analysis; extended spectrum of agents to be analyzed.
