FIELD: biology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of determining integral antioxidant/oxidant activity of organic condensed media, including biological ones. Method involves preparation of initial solution containing a mediator system consisting of reagents, including element in the oxidised and reduced form, or compounds, which form reversible redox pair, and evaluation of antioxidant/oxidant activity in electrochemical parameters of analysed object, introduced to initial solution. At that, before introduction into initial solution the analysed object is dispersed in water solution of ethanol in ratio 1:0.8…1.2 volume to particle size of not more than 0.5 mqm. Water-alcohol solution is prepared with ratio of 1:1 by volume. Storage time of prepared sample is not more than 30 minutes. Electrochemical parameter of evaluation of antioxidant/oxidant activity is change in redox potential after introduction of mixture of analysed liquid in aqueous-alcoholic solution in buffer solution containing mediator system.

EFFECT: use of present method enables higher reliability and accuracy of obtained information and reduced analysis time, expand number of analysed objects.
