APPARATUS FOR SATURATION OF SUGAR-CONTAINING SOLUTION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: sugar industry, in particular, processing of defected sugar-containing solution with saturation gas containing carbon dioxide.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has two vessels provided with gas distributors and connected with one another via pipeline. One vessel is adapted for processing of solution with newly supplied saturation gas and other vessel is adapted for processing of solution with used saturation gas. Vessels are equipped with processing branch pipes and gas distributors arranged in their lower part. Vessel for processing of solution with used saturation gas is hermetically sealed and provided with jet pump adapted for mixing of said gas with sugar-containing solution supplied for saturation and joined to respective gas distributor, and pipeline for supplying of used solution from said vessel into vessel for processing thereof with newly supplied saturation gas. This vessel is equipped with cover arranged in space above liquid and adapted for catching of used saturation gas, and conical plate attached to wall in the region under cover and adapted for discharge of solution into lower part of vessel. Vessel for processing of sugar-containing solution with used saturation gas is equipped with systems for automatic controlling of pumping-out process in space above liquid surface.

EFFECT: increased extent of processing of used solution, increased extent of utilization of carbon dioxide of saturation gas, improved adsorption cleaning of sugar-containing solution, improved filtering and sedimentation properties of saturation sediment, reduced carrying-away of water and loss of heat carried away together with water vapors.
