FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method, which may be used for preparing doped titanium alloy by vacuum arc remelt, comprises preparation of alloy melt, pouring, and crystallization. Pouring is effected at melt temperature 1440-1500оС over water-cooled two-roll crystallizer at peripheral speed of rotation of rolls 18-21 m/min.
EFFECT: eliminated process operations (rolling, metal chipping) leading to pollution of alloy with foreign inclusions, decreased labor intensiveness, and lowered expenses.
