FIELD: biotechnology, gene engineering.

SUBSTANCE: it is suggested to apply recombinant vaccines for preventing viral hepatitis B. Vaccines are elaborated based upon antigens of serotypes adw and ayw obtained out of Pichia angusta yeast strains VKPM Y-2412 and VKM Y-2924D. Recombinant vaccines for preventing viral hepatitis B contain efficient quantity of surface antigen of hepatitis B virus, an adjuvant and physiologically acceptable solvent. Vaccines could contain antigen of either out of one serotype or, at equal quantities, the mixture of serotypes adw and ayw. Vaccines obtained are being highly immunogenic, non toxic and posess no side effects.
