FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a Hansenula polymorpha yeast strain-producer of recombinant hepatitis B virus surface antigen serotype “ayw”. Strain is obtained by adding to yeast cell genome several copies of DNA sequence coding HBsAg/ayw, under control of a promoter MAL1 H. polymorpha. Strain provides high yield of recombinant protein HBsAg/ayw with antigenic and immunogenic properties of natural antigen, improved process conditions of cultivation process on media which do not contain toxic and inflammable components, and provides compliance with requirements of environmental protection.
EFFECT: invention can be used in microbiological synthesis of recombinant protein HBsAg.
