FIELD: chemical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for chemical and food industry, agriculture and can be used for gassing of grain and when alloying of semiconductors. Unit 1 for supplying free stream of metal phosphide, e.g. magnesium, aluminum, or calcium phosphide, includes gas-tight closed tank 3 with funnel-shaped bottom part 4. Funnel extends to summit 5, wherein metal phosphide in the form of particles is placed. Close to summit 5, there is vertically oriented tube 8 with its lower end opens through opening 9 and faces Venturi nozzle 10. Gas carrier, inert toward phosphine, is supplied over tube 11. Channel 13 with bend 12 is provided with ball-valve 14 and control lever 15 displaced by means of spring 16. This allows one to tightly cut off tank 3 from the continuation of channel 13. Tank 3 comprises closed chamber 22 wherein water stock 23 is maintained at the level 24 by feeding water through pipe 25 and overflow device 25 comprising drain tube 27 with bend 28 and downspout 29. Ventilating duct 30 excludes drying of the chamber 22. Channel 32 serves for feeding metal phosphide powder. Gas bearing space over the water surface 24 is divided by partition 40 into gas chambers 38 and 39. Partition 40 extends from upper part of the chamber to the water surface 24 and separates entering metal phosphide powder from generated gas withdrawn through pipe 33. Under chamber 38, there is intake channel 41 to supply gas carrier, for example CO2 or argon. Gas carrier is bubbled through the water bed 23. Generated phosphine and carbon dioxide entering tank 2 through channels 31 and 41 are accumulated in chamber 39 and discharged over discharge means 33, 34, 35.
EFFECT: enabled generation non-inflaming mixture of phosphine and inert gas carrier.
