FIELD: motor fuels.
SUBSTANCE: exhausted motor fuels are efficiently reused in blast furnace smelting. Method is distinguished by that exhausted motor fuels are freed from solid particles more than 50-75 mcm in size, then dewatered to water content 20-35%, and passed to emulsification apparatus to form stable water-disperse fuel. The latter is warmed to 50-90оС and burned in blast furnaces by way of blowing into air lances under pressure exceeding hot blowing pressure by 50 to 250 kPa.
EFFECT: avoided harmful emissions typical of reuse of exhausted motor fuels and decreased consumption of coke in blast furnace smelting.
