FIELD: chemical industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of thin-film coatings, which are a promising material for electrochemical energy storage devices such as lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors. A method for obtaining thin-film coatings based on cobalt-nickel double oxide is proposed, based on applying to a substrate, one of the sides of which is covered with an insulating layer, aqueous solutions of hydrated cobalt and nickel nitrates, taken in a molar ratio of 1:2, followed by water evaporation at 60-80°C and heat treatment, which occurs in a stream of water vapor flowing at a rate of 70-200 ml/min, with an increase in temperature from 20-25°C to 300-450°C at a speed of 5-20°C/min, followed by an exposure of 2-3 hours at 300-450°C.

EFFECT: obtaining a high-quality coating due to no defects based on cobalt-nickel double oxide using only one environmentally friendly solvent, e.g., water.
