SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a new compound - amlodipine camsylate of the formula (I):
Compound of the formula (I) is prepared by treatment of amlodipine with camphor sulfoacid in organic solvent. As distinct from the known amlodipine salts, amlodipine camsylate elicits the enhanced stability and retains stability for 4 weeks. Compound of the formula (I) is an antagonist of calcium channels with prolonged effect and can be used for treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
