FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing 14-O-[(N-(3-methyl-2-aminobutyrylpiperidinyl)sulphanyl)acetyl]mutilins of formula (I) 
, which involves removing protection from N-substituted piperidinyl-sulphanyl-acetyl-mutilin of formula (II) 
, separating the obtained compound of formula (III) 
and acylation thereof to obtain a compound of formula (IV) 
and subsequently removing protection and separating a compound of formula (I). The invention also relates to a compound of formula (IV), a methane sulphonate salt of the compound of formula (III), crystalline hydrochloride of 14-O-[(N-3-methyl-2-(R)-aminobutyrylpiperidin-3(S)-yl)sulphanyl-acetyl] mutilin, a method for production thereof and a pharmaceutical composition based thereon.
EFFECT: novel method of producing a compound of formula (I), characterised by low time, resource and labour costs.
