FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in railway electrified transport for insulation of track circuits of signaling and communication devices used in railway lines. Proposed insulated rail joint contains wedge-like metal fish-plates braced by bolts through spacers placed between fish-plates and walls of rails. Said spacers are made of insulating material on polyamide base. Upper flanges of fishplates are made with slope less than 1:4. Ratio of width of profile of upper section of fishplates to width of profile of lower section is 1.04-1.07. Thickness of insulating spacer mating with surface of rail at upper and lower sections of fishplates is 2-2.5 time greater than thickness of insulating spacer on the rest of fishplate surface. Radius of conjugation of fishplate upper section with insulating spacers placed on fishplate with rail neck fillet is 3.2-3.6 of its thickness on upper and lower sections of fishplates.
EFFECT: improved wear resistance of insulated rail joint, its reliability under any climatic conditions and increased service life.
