FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for insulating track circuits of signaling, communicating and interlocking devices in all climatic zones of Russian Federation. Proposed insulated rail joint has metal cover plates arranged at both sides of rails and provided with cavities from sides of rails, clamped together by electrically insulated bolts and pressure plates, and resilient pads placed between rails and cover plates and provided with wave-shaped profile in middle part getting into cavities of cover plates. Said resilient pads are made for elongation and reduction of length depending on ambient temperature. End sections of resilient pads project beyond the limit of rail head profile. Electric insulation of bolts and pressure plates is made in form of common part-flat envelope with molded bushes for bolts.
EFFECT: improved reliability of insulated rail joint.
