FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy and gas treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is directed to processing of loparite, zircon, ilmenite, and rutyl concentrate via chlorine method and its object is removing chlorine and hydrogen chloride form magnesium production emission gases, wherein treatment of emission gases is effected with mixture of lime milk and urea taken in equivalent amounts, while exhausted solutions containing calcium carbonate and hydroxide are used for catching hydrogen chloride. After the latter operation, spent solutions containing calcium chloride, oxide, and carbonate are used to produce commercial products.
EFFECT: created essentially effluent-free magnesium production due to conversion of gas treatment spent solutions into commercial products.
