FIELD: engineering physics; producing local electrical discharge in liquid.

SUBSTANCE: discharge is produced by passing electric current through liquid by means of electrodes. For the purpose electrodes are separated by means of insulating partition provided with diaphragm passing liquid current conductor. One of alternatives includes immersion of both electrodes in liquid. In other alternative one electrode is immersed in liquid and other one tightly abuts against outer surface of insulating wall of housing and communicates with liquid through diaphragm in insulating wall of housing.

EFFECT: enhanced specific power dissipated in liquid volume unit.
