FIELD: furnaces for production of a metallic iron by a direct reduction of iron ore.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with furnaces for production of metallic iron by a direct reduction of iron ore. The furnace is one of the gravitational type and contains: a vertical container having a furnace roof; the upper loading means; the middle zone of reaction; the first means of a gas distribution located along the periphery of the vertical container and used for feeding of a reducing gas in the middle zone of reaction; the lower zone of unloading of the metallic iron and the upper zone of preheating and preliminary recovery and located above the middle zone of reaction; the second means of distribution of a gas and used for feeding of an additional reducing gas into the upper zone. The second means of distribution of a gas contains a vertical head placed in the center of the upper zone and supplied with the radial nozzles. The vertical head is supported by the furnace roof and in a vertical direction passes into the upper zone in essence from the center of the furnace roof. The invention allows to supply a stable and uniform distribution of the reducing gas in the volume of the furnace to increase the surface of interaction and to intensify the heat exchange.
EFFECT: the invention ensures a stable and uniform distribution of the reducing gas in the volume of the furnace, increased surface of its interaction and intensification of the heat exchange.
