FIELD: machine tool manufacture, machine tools of lathe group.
SUBSTANCE: in order to increase limit stability of machine tool at cutting process and to improve working accuracy, experimental-calculation criterion is used. Said criterion is in the form of limit integral characteristic of vibration resistance in working space of machine tool. Said characteristic is determined for group of competitive machine tools - analogs. Zones of plotted graphs of vibration resistance are analyzed for determining in zone with critical vibration resistance factors limiting cutting process and unstable modules-links. Then said modules-links are successively changed in basic model while taking into account determined multi-variance of integral characteristics by respective potentially more stable tested modules of machine tools - analogs. Again vibration resistance is determined for providing balanced maximum values of limit integral characteristics of vibration resistance in the whole working space of machine tool.
EFFECT: rational modular arrangement of machine tool.
