FIELD: oil and chemical industry.

SUBSTANCE: gate valve has housing made of two interconnected housing members. The space between the housing members receives disk slide valve which is provided with geared sector and mounted for rotation in its plane. The geared sector engages the driving pinion. The housing members are interconnected through bending. The bending is made of two semirings which are of U-shaped in cross-section. The disk slide valve has at least two through openings of different diameters. The axes of the openings are arranged at the same distance from each other, which is equal to 0.85-1.2 of the diameter of the greater through opening. The geared sector of the disk slide valve is closed.
