METHOD FOR EXTRAINTRAARTICULAR ARHRODESIS OF PATIENT'S HIP JOINT Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

SUBSTANCE: one should develop an autotransplant with cylindrical cuttings and a receiving channel of cylindrical shape, moreover, with a cylindrical cutting one should develop an autotransplant out of the wing and the crest of ilium with adjacent part of the muscle that strains broad fascia of femur, moreover, one should remove internal cortical plate in autotransplant, then dislocate caput femoris into the wound, remove cartilaginous covering from articular surfaces, adapt the caput to cotyloid cavity at functionally efficient limb's position, develop a receiving channel with the help of cylindrical cutting in ilium's body and in collum femoris by overlapping articular fissure, then one should introduce autotransplant into this channel till the contact with channel's bottom, moreover, external diameter of this cutting corresponds to its internal one applied to develop this transplant. One should fix the joint, moreover, additional fixation of autotransplant is possible with either a wood screw or auto-osseous dowel. For additional articular fixation one may apply intraarticular, extraarticular and external techniques. It is possible to apply transarticular fixation of caput femoris to cotyloid cavity with tightening screws or bolts. Moreover, additional fixation of femur to ilium is, also, possible with the help of osseous fixing plates. Additional external immobilization of inferior limb is possible, also, due to applying a core-type apparatus onto patient's pelvis and femur to provide rigidity for osseous fixation and optimal medium for bony tissue regeneration.
