FIELD: medicine, stomatology.
SUBSTANCE: one should introduce two isolated metal electrodes into a pulp canal, in assembled form these electrode have the form of a cylinder. Electrodes should be introduced till electric contact with a fragment under removal. Through closed state developed by the first electrode, metal fragment and the second electrode one should apply an impulse at current power and duration being sufficient to fix a fragment to electrodes due to heating in the sites of contact. Electrodes should be removed out of pulp canal together with a fragment. One should apply certain set of electrodes known as an extractor. They may have additional current-conducting and dielectric coverings. Electric impulse of physiologically acceptable level should be formed in a power pack that includes a battery-charged capacitor being discharged with an impulse through controlled electronic switch. The method and extractor enable to remove fragments of metal instrument out of a pulp canal.
EFFECT: higher reliability and efficiency of extraction.
