FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied in engineering of high-performance ozonation aggregates. Oxygen-containing gas is fed through gaps in mesh 5 cells. External 1 and internal 2 electrodes of ozone generator are made in tube form and connected to alternate current source. Electrodes are separated by discharge gap 3 of given size, through which the oxygen-containing gas flow passes. Under effect of alternate current source voltage between electrodes 1, 2 of ozone generator, volume-surface barrier discharge evolves in discharge gap 3 with structure of separate microdischarges spread regularly over the surface of dielectric layer 4. Mesh 5 is made of electroconductive material resistant to electric discharge, active chemicals and radical effect. Electric power supply is performed by alternate current source based on current inverter with fully controlled valves with quasi-resonant commutation and relay impulse controls.
EFFECT: reduced power cost of electric ozone synthesis.
