FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves forming tunnel incision and corneal paracentesis, carrying out capsulorhexis, crystalline nucleus destruction and removal and introducing viscoelastic. Artificial eye implant is introduced into lens sac filled viscoelastic through the tunnel incision by means of injector. The implant is manufactured from biologically inert material as unclosed ring. The unclosed ring surface has arc-shaped protrusions radially arranged and directed towards the unclosed ring center. The arc-shaped protrusions are spaced in equal angular distances from each other, free end of each arc-shaped protrusion is blind. The arc-shaped protrusions free ends do not reach center projection and the free central optical zone is left free. Convex part of the unclosed ring having arc-shaped protrusions is directed towards the anterior lens capsule.
EFFECT: improved functional result; reduced risk of postoperative complications; accelerated rehabilitation.
