FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: the suggested innovation deals with detecting spermatozoal maturity according to the degree of spermatozoal chromatin condensation based upon the intensity of spermatozoal DNA fluorescence both before and after obligatory decondensation with heparin due to flow cytometry technique at applying ethidium bromide as fluorochromium. One should measure DNA fluorescence upon a flow-type cytofluorimeter in red area of spectrum (λ=620 nm)due to applying CELLLQuest program, at sorting rate being 300 cells/sec. Due to applying statistic technique by Kolmogorov-Smirnov one should compare histograms along with detecting similarity index of two curves n. At initial maximal chromatin condensation being characteristic for mature spermatozoa similarity index n should be high (>48.5). At low initial chromatin condensation being characteristic for immature spermatozoa similarity index n should be low (<48.5).
EFFECT: higher accuracy of detection.
