FIELD: medicine, traumatology, orthopedics.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with applying double-element endoprosthesis for elbow joints. The suggested endoprosthesis consists of elbow pedicle and shoulder pedicle connected by hinge. The former is connected with cylindrical hinge with endoprosthesis' bending-unbending axis designed out of two hemispheres being rigidly connected with a socket of cylindrical hinge and located at eccentricity against each other in a plane passing through bending-unbending axis and longitudinal axis of elbow pedicle. The latter is rigidly connected with a casing the internal surface of which is equidistant and designed to provide the chance for bending-unbending axis to rotate in it. Casing hemispherical surfaces are designed in the plane of orthogonal longitudinal axis of shoulder pedicle and have the contact with bending-unbending axis and pass through bending-unbending axis at the same eccentricity of ε = C·tgα0, where C - inter-central distance of hemispheres, α0 - an angle for hinge's rotation in distal plane at complete unbending.
EFFECT: increased articular stability.
