FIELD: processes and equipment for electrochemical working of metallic parts, possibly working irregular-shape parts such as casting molds, press-molds, forming irregular-contour openings.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of approaching cathode to worked part used as anode in electrolyte; passing electric current through electrolyte between cathode and worked part for electrolytic removal of material from part surface; imparting oscillation motion to cathode for changing gap between cathode and worked part; changing electric current parameters. Oscillation motion includes main and secondary oscillations. Invention provides increased accuracy of working with use of gaps till 0.01-0.005 mm.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of working parts.
