DEVICE FOR EXTENDING SPINAL COLUMN Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2265427 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: device can be used at rehabilitation, prophylactic treatment and cure of diseases for axial extending and vibration-mechanical acting onto muscle-link apparatus of spinal column. Device has shallow case. Working surface of the case is made in form of bed with slit at the area where spinal column touches the bed. Inside the case there are units for extending neck and small of the back parts of spinal column. The latter is made in form of screw traction mechanism provided with worm drive. Any extending unit is provided with corresponding traction lever and preset extension force control detector. Device also has massage trolley mounted onto guides and provided with lifting mechanism having electro-mechanical lift. The lift is cinematically connected with rollers-massagers mounted onto platform in bed's slit, roller-massager lift level regulator and number of passes of roller-massagers detector, and vibrator. The latter is mounted onto platform of rollers-massagers; it is provided with rollers-massagers amplitude and frequency corrector. Device has actuating mechanism provided with dc engine, chain drive with cam and sprockets. Engine is cinematically connected with massage trolley, heating unit made in form of linear thermal plates mounted along bed's slit at both sides and provided with temperature detectors. There are also units for fixing neck and small of back are cinematically connected with traction levers of neck and small of the back of spinal column units by means of flexible links. Program-time unit for setting modes of massage and extension of spinal column is connected with output of preset extension force control detector, with rollers-massagers level of left detector, with rollers-massager number of passes detector and temperature control detector. Bed has motionless breast and motionless hip sections. The latter is mounted for longitudinal reciprocal motion onto rollers and is cinematically connected with traction lever of unit for extending small of the back part of spinal column. Screw traction mechanism is connected with worm drive of unit for extending small of the back part of spinal column. Device can also have alarm switch for turning alarm mode of operation of the device on. Friction between surface of bed and patient's body is reduced. Worm drive in unit for extending neck part of spinal column is excluded.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of mechanical action; simplified construction.
