FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to centrifugal separator for separation of fluid mixture of components on, at least, first and second components, as well as to separation of components in the liquid mixture. Centrifugal separator includes rotor made with possibility of rotation around the axis of rotation, an inlet chamber made in the rotor, inlet pipe extending into the rotor, having a hole in intake chamber for supply of liquid mixture of components, intake device in intake chamber, containing multiple circular discs aligned with rotor to make fluid passages between disks, or spiral element, coaxial with rotor to make fluid passages between turns of helical element. Whereupon separator comprises vanes arranged upstream of inlet device for induction of preliminary rotation and preliminary acceleration of the liquid mixture. Method for separation of components in the liquid mixture includes steps providing said centrifugal separator and liquid mixture to be separated, and separate at least one component from a liquid mixture using separator.

EFFECT: minimising the risk of internal overflow in separator rotor.
