FIELD: electric engineering, possible use for quick charging of accumulator batteries on basis of charging/discharging pulse-duration modulated transformers.
SUBSTANCE: during connection of accumulator batteries to device, battery type is determined automatically and charging algorithm is selected, appropriate for detected type of accumulator battery. Device has control circuit reflecting given algorithm and circuit for controlling force part. Control block in form of mono-crystalline central microprocessor unit forms signals in accordance to charging algorithm for controlling high-frequency pulse-duration modulated transformer. Signals from current indicator is sent to mono-crystalline central microprocessor unit, which sets and maintains necessary level of charging and discharging current in accordance to charging algorithm. Signal form voltage indicator of accumulator batteries is sent to mono-crystalline central microprocessor unit for controlling charging process and determining charging end criterions.
EFFECT: possible use of same elements in circuit of charging and discharging currents, decreased number of elements of force circuit, decreased volume of force part and increased efficiency of device.
