FIELD: electrical engineering; battery charging.

SUBSTANCE: after accumulator battery (AB) is connected to charger type of battery is selected automatically. According to selected AB type charging starts by specified procedure corresponding to AB type. Device contains control circuit as per specified procedure and control circuit of power force component. Control of power component is performed by means of single-chip microprocessor. Charging and discharging current is generated by means of high-frequency power-width modulation (PWM) inverter. Charging and discharging current is stabilized due to current feedback. Voltage and shunt pickup signals are supplied to single-chip microprocessor to provide charging process control.

EFFECT: reduction of weight, dimensions, price of device and improved efficiency.
