FIELD: engineering of recognition and guidance systems for parking aircrafts.
SUBSTANCE: for recognition of an aircraft laser distance meter is used, which is used to track aircraft and produce contour on basis of reflected signals, which is then compared to known contours. To differentiate from planes with alike contours laser distance meter is aligned to space, where sign presence is expected, for example, an engine, and to other space, where sign presence is not expected. Signals, reflected from both spaces, are used to determine, whether engine is at expected position. If so, than aircraft is recognized as an airplane of expected type, and it is allowed to park. In opposite case airplane is stopped until further notice. As an additional identification sign, height of airplane head can be used.
EFFECT: increased safety and efficiency of parking procedure.
