FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: muffler includes a cylindrical housing end rigidly connected to the inlet and outlet port in the housing, perpendicularly to the direction of aerodynamic flow set at least two discs with holes forming chambers. Holes discs are alternately offset relative to the axis of the housing such that the holes do not coincide in the two adjacent discs. The housing is made of structural materials coated on its surface with one or both sides of the vibration-damping layer of soft material, such as WD-17 mastic material or type "Gerlen-D", and the cells mounted sound-absorbing ring members and absorbing elements are circular.

EFFECT: increased efficiency due to attenuation of the muffler chamber settings by turning the sound-absorbing element.
