FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method used for diagnosing electrical machines, primarily turboalternators and water-wheel generators of power stations, includes measurement of parameters of vibroacoustic signal propagating throughout structural parts of machine; checkup of coolant parameters and variation of parameters in one of coolants in case parameters of vibroacoustic signal point to flaw in stator core. In the process stator core coolant temperature is maintained practically constant accurate to ±2 °C deviation from mean value; parameters of stator core coolant are varied; measurement results are used to construct curve of vibroacoustic signal parameters as function of winding coolant parameter to locate source of vibration impact process.
EFFECT: ability of detecting flaws and source of vibration impact causing loose fastening of core stack on running machine.
