METHOD OF ROTOR UNIT SHAFT DAMAGE DETECTION (EMBODIMENTS) Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N19/08

Abstract RU 2702923 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of non-destructive testing of shafts of rotary machines, mainly turbine units of power plants, which include a turbine and an electric generator. In order to achieve the set target on the operating rotor unit using the known devices the parameter characterizing attenuation of harmonics of proper torsional vibrations of the shaft of the first and/or second and subsequent oscillations forms is measured, for example attenuation coefficient, measuring parameters of unit operation mode, for example, active power of turbine unit of power plant, determining reference dependence of attenuation coefficient on parameters of operating mode of rotor unit and determining damage of the shaft and damage level as per the deviation of the measured value of the attenuation coefficient of the shaft torsional vibrations from the reference dependence. In another version, amplitude of harmonics of own forms of torsional oscillations of shaft is measured, reference dependence of amplitude of own torsional vibrations of shaft on parameters of operating mode of rotor unit is determined and determining processes in operation of rotor unit, leading to shaft damage, and level of damage as per deviation of measured value of amplitude of own torsional vibrations of shaft from reference relationship.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of effective detection of appearance of fatigue cracks of shaft on operating rotor unit at initial stage of their development to prevent emergency destruction of unit.
