FIELD: machine engineering, possibly manufacture of gear wheels.
SUBSTANCE: tool includes boss joined through elastic members with toothed rim divided by portions arranged normally relative to boss axis and being in the form of discs mounted with possibility of changing their position relative to tool axis and adjacent disc. Tool has braking device and skew sleeve whose outer and inner cylindrical surfaces cross by angle α. Boss is mounted by means of bearing assemblies on skew sleeve. Braking device is used for providing tool operation in braking mode when boss and skew sleeve are fixed one relative to other and in oscillation mode when boss and skew sleeve may perform free rotation one relative to other. Toothed rim of each portion is made of springy steel strip onto which diamond-abrasive layer is applied; discs themselves are elastic members. In description of invention formula is given for calculating value of angle α.
EFFECT: improved design, enhanced efficiency and quality of working due to increased contact surface area of joined shaped parts and due to oscillation of tool rim.
