FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in cooling system of internal combustion engines and water supply systems. Proposed method includes physical action on liquid by providing or stopping delivery of liquid jets into its inlet branch pipe in direction of common liquid flow in inlet branch pipe at appearance of cavitation in pump by opening-closing valve with electromagnetic drive by signal from variable temperature-sensitive resistor. The latter is installed in inlet branch pipe of pump, temperature is zone of its installation is measured and when temperature rises to cause cavitation in liquid, delivery of liquid into inlet branch pipe is provided to compress steam and air bubbles, thus suppressing cavitation. Control of delivery of liquid is provided by temperature-sensitive resistor.
EFFECT: improved reliability of pump, increased capacity and service life.
