FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: charge is pelletised; the obtained wet pellets are laid as a layer onto a conveyor belt located in a heat-insulated hearth, in the working space of which there performed is partial drying with air with the temperature of 20-300°C, which is supplied through a blasting duct provided with a nozzle surface. Pellets are laid as a layer onto a grate of a roasting machine, and their final treatment is performed, which involves leakage of hearth gases through the layer, removal of waste gases through a flue gas duct, which includes a recuperative heat exchanger intended for heating of the air supplied to the hearth for drying of wet pellets. The nozzle surface of the blasting duct is made in the form of several vertical slot sections located along the conveyor belt with a gap to the latter one and embedded into a layer of pellets. Each section is made in the form of a meshed frame, on which a heat-resistant elastic material with holes located on both sides of each section is extended.
EFFECT: reduction of fuel consumption for heat treatment of pellets and improvement of capacity of a roasting machine.
