FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, namely the production of iron ore pellets. The charge is pelletized on a pelletizer to obtain wet pellets. The pellets are taken out of the pelletizer and laid in a layer on a conveyor belt located in a heat-insulated hearth. In the working space of the hearth, partial drying of wet pellets is carried out with air heated to 300°C, supplied through a blast box, equipped with a nozzle surface in the form of vertical sections. The pellets are laid in a layer on the grate of the roasting machine. The final processing is carried out, including the suction of furnace gases through the layer. Exhaust gases are removed through a chimney containing a recuperative heat exchanger. Sections are made in the form of vertically mounted metal pipes of elliptical section with nozzle holes located on their side surface. Sections are equipped with horizontal partitions from 2 to 8 pieces, forming labyrinth channels with neighboring sections.
EFFECT: reduction of fuel consumption for heat treatment of pellets and increase in productivity of the roasting machine.
